Can you tell us a little bit about
Watson & Walpole?
Watson and Walpole is a few yards up from the market square in Framlingham. In just a few months we have established ourselves as a friendly and popular neighbourhood restaurant serving authentic Italian food.
What makes your business unique?
Our service is professional and our food is high quality but there are no airs or pretensions. We want our customers to feel relaxed and happy from start to finish.
What do you love most about what you do?
Rob Walpole, head chef and partner, is never happier than making fresh pasta in our dedicated pasta room. We all love seeing wonderful seasonal ingredients come in and, best of all, welcoming happy customers back again.
What is your top pick from the menu?
In a few short months, our tiramisu has become legendary but anything from the pasta room or the wood-fired oven is a real treat.
After visiting, where would you
recommend to go for a walk?
Framlingham is a marvellous market town, blessed with a Castle (made even more famous by Ed Sheeran) and wonderful walks around or in it.
What is your favourite thing to do in Suffolk on your day off?
Rob loves being with his young son, Rupert, and eating. Myself and David love eating, preferably in our Suffolk garden.
