Suffolk Secrets, Southwold & Aldeburgh
Suffolk Secrets has offices in both Southwold and Aldeburgh. We caught up with Property Recruiter, Megan Desborough to find out more about the business.
Can you tell us a little bit
about Suffolk Secrets?
Suffolk Secrets was established in 1995 and has become one of the leading holiday letting agents in the region. We have brilliant offices in two of our most sought-after locations: Southwold and Aldeburgh. Customers and homeowners really love having a local office they can pop into during their stay with us. In 2005, we were bought by Original Cottages, a group of locally focused brands across the country. This provided us with a national reach, whilst maintaining our truly local ethos.
What makes Suffolk Secrets unique?
We are a local business with teams in prime Suffolk locations, whilst being part of a national business – Original Cottages. This allows us to offer guests and homeowners a truly local experience, with the backing of a brilliant national company.
What can clients look forward to when they book?
We have some of the best properties across the entire region within our portfolio and offer guests a highly professional, quality service. We build brilliant relationships with local businesses to offer guests an array of things to do whilst they stay with us.
Can you give us a random fact about Suffolk Secrets?
Suffolk Secrets were originally based in the Grade II listed Old Water Tower on Southwold Common, before we moved to the centre of Southwold in our current home on Marketplace.
What would you recommend your clients do whilst on their stay?
The Suffolk coast boasts so many brilliant places! But my absolute favourite thing to do is to buy a fish and chip supper from The Little Fish and Chip Shop in Southwold, then nip across to the Adnams shop to buy a cheeky tipple and take it down to the beach to enjoy in the late evening summer sun! Delicious, locally sourced food and drink with a beautiful view out to sea – what more could you ask for?
What is your favourite thing to do in Suffolk on your day off?
I love taking my dog Milo for long walks along the Suffolk Coast – he absolutely loves swimming and chasing the waves on the beach. He’s also the perfect companion for exploring new places, finding local treasures, and visiting all the lovely shops, pubs and restaurants that we always recommend to our holidaymakers and homeowners.
