Cottage Tree, Framlingham
Cottage Tree is based in Framlingham and has a portfolio of pretty Suffolk self catering holiday homes. We caught up with the joint MDs, Andrea Ewing and Sue Edhouse to find out more about their business.
Can you tell us a little bit
about Cottage Tree?
Cottage Tree has grown organically simply by reputation and word of mouth over the past 4 years. We focus on providing an excellent service to our customers, and a professional, friendly and flexible management service for our property owners.
What makes your business unique?
Based in the heart of Suffolk, we remain completely independent and concentrate on maintaining our unique and bespoke service.
What do you love most about what you do?
We are extremely fortunate to live in such a beautiful county, and travelling around to view new properties, take photographs, and to explore new places for our guests to visit is a pleasure. Although many bookings nowadays are made online, we do love to talk to guests on the phone and help them with any additional information on the area or the property that they may need.
What is your top pick of where to stay?
Southwold, Walberswick, Aldeburgh and Orford are our favourite places along the Suffolk Coast.
What local attraction do you recommend?
Difficult to choose one! Southwold is a great choice for families, The Pier being an old-fashioned favourite, together with the castles at Framlingham and Orford. Both Minsmere and Snape for the most fabulous natural landscape, vast skies, waves of reeds and tracks through heather; walking in this area is a real tonic.
What is your favourite thing to do in Suffolk on your day off?
There are so many lovely towns and villages along the Suffolk Coast – a walk, then lunch and a glass of wine on a terrace overlooking the sea!
